Candidates must hold an MBBS degree along with a postgraduate qualification or a Diploma in the relevant specialty. Age RelaxationPersons with disabilities (PwD/Divyang): 10 years relaxation. Departmental (in-service) candidates of SHSB: 5 years relaxation. Only one of the above two relaxations is admissible to any single candidate.

Selection Process
Selection for SHSB Specialist Doctor Recruitment 2026 is based on a merit list prepared out of 100 total marks, calculated from MBBS examination marks and PG degree/diploma marks. Tie-breaking will follow specific criteria based on age and educational qualification. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification/Counselling.
