The Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, Meghalaya is inviting applications from Indian citizens for 108 positions of Part-Time Naik and Part-Time Lance Naik (Volunteers). Eligible candidates must have a deployment history of 3 years and not exceed 50 years of age as of 15 April 2026. Applications are due by 6 July 2026.

Selection Process
The selection for Meghalaya BWHG Enrollment 2026 involves a Personal Interview conducted at designated centres. The process includes submission of the application, scrutiny of applications, followed by a personal interview at Tura or Shillong centres.
How to Apply
The application process is entirely offline. Obtain the Prescribed Standard Form from the detailed notice available at District Home Guards Commandant offices. Fill in the application form carefully and submit it in person or by post to the correct office before 6 July 2026.
Documents Required
- 2 (two) copies of a recent passport-size photograph - one to be pasted in the Standard Form.
- Educational Qualification Certificate.
- Birth Certificate or Age Certificate as per school records.
- EPIC Card of Meghalaya.
- Home Guards Basic Training Certificate.
- Medical Fitness Certificate from any Authorised Government Medical Practitioner/Institution.
- Deployment Period Certificate issued by the District Commandant / Officers Commanding District Training Centre / Deputy Controller of Civil Defence in a prescribed format.
