The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) invites applications for the post of Medical Officer (MBBS) under the National Urban Health Mission, offering 56 contractual positions. Candidates must hold an MBBS degree and be registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council. The role encompasses a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹60,000 for a period of 6 months.

Maximum age: 70 years, as per the circular of the Mission Director, National Urban Health Mission, dated 25.05.2019, calculated as on the last date of application. Candidates aged 60 years or above are required to submit a physical and mental fitness certificate issued by the District Surgeon along with their application.

Educational Qualification: MBBS degree from a recognized university. Registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (or equivalent recognized medical council, as applicable) is mandatory. The qualification must have been obtained from a university/institution recognized by the Government.

Selection Process
description
Selection for the Medical Officer (MBBS) post is made directly through a walk-in interview; there is no written examination. Candidates must report for registration, document scrutiny, and verification between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on the interview date, followed by the interview on the same day.
Documents Required
- Age proof (10th certificate / school leaving certificate)
- Mark sheets and certificates of educational qualification (MBBS)
- Maharashtra Medical Council registration certificate (as applicable)
- Experience certificates from government, semi-government, or private institutions, clearly stating the type of employer, post held, and joining/relieving dates
- Caste certificate, for candidates applying under a reserved category
- Non-creamy layer certificate (with valid date), for OBC/VJ/NT/SBC/SEBC category candidates
- Domicile certificate (proof of Maharashtra residency)
- Aadhaar card
- PAN card
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Marriage registration certificate (if married) or Gazette notification (if name changed)
- Small family certificate/affidavit
- Affidavit declaring no criminal case is registered against the candidate
