Minimum 18 years, Maximum 24 years for Trade Apprentice, Maximum 25 years for Diploma Apprentice, Maximum 28 years for Graduate Apprentice as on 30/06/2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India orders for reserved categories.
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date 30/06/2026. Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act-1961 in any Government, PSU or private industrial organisation are NOT eligible. Absconded apprentice candidates from previous training are also not eligible.
ITI Pass Certificate in the respective trade (Full-Time/Regular mode only).

Diploma Pass Certificate in Engineering/Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education / University / recognized Institute in the respective discipline (Full-Time/Regular mode only). Diploma must have been passed within 5 years of 30/06/2026.
Graduate Degree in non-engineering/general streams (BA, B.Sc., B.Com., etc.) including sandwich courses granted by a College/University recognized by AICTE/UGC/State Government/Central Government (Full-Time/Regular mode only). Degree must have been passed within 5 years of 30/06/2026.
There is no application fee mentioned in the official notification for NPCIL MAPS Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Candidates are not required to pay any fee at the time of application submission.
Selection for engagement of apprentices will be based on merit i.e. marks obtained in the qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/Graduation). There is no written test. The final engagement is subject to document verification and medical fitness. NPCIL management reserves the right to cancel or alter the number of seats of any particular trade/discipline or cancel the entire process without assigning any reason.
