Candidates should have a good academic record throughout, with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master's degree level. A 5% relaxation in marks is available for SC/ST/BC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates of the state, and for physically challenged persons of Bihar; however, both relaxations cannot be combined for the same candidate. Age Limit
The minimum age for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor is 21 years, and the maximum age shall not be more than 43 years as on 1 August 2026. Age relaxation is applicable to candidates belonging to reserved categories, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of Bihar.

Salary / Remuneration
The monthly remuneration for the contractual appointment shall be equivalent to the minimum monthly gross salary (Basic + DA only) of a regularly appointed Assistant Professor at the entry level.

Selection is based on a total of 100 marks, comprising Academic Qualification (88 marks) and Interview-cum-Demonstration (12 marks). Candidates must convert Grade/CGPA/CPI into percentage using only the official conversion formula/table approved and published by the concerned board or university.
