Eligibility Criteria
- Assistant Professor (Grade II): Ph.D., First class or equivalent at the preceding degree, Specialization in the appropriate area/branch with consistently good academic record throughout. Less than three years of post-Ph.D. industrial/ research/ teaching experience.
- Assistant Professor (Grade I): Ph.D., First class or equivalent at the preceding degree, Specialization in the appropriate area/branch with consistently good academic record throughout. At least three years of post-Ph.D. industrial/ research/ teaching experience.

Assistant Professor Grade-II: 7th CPC Pay Level 10, Minimum Basic Pay: ₹ 70,900/-. Approximate total emoluments including HRA: ₹ 1,71,300/-. Approximate total emoluments excluding HRA: ₹ 1,50,000/-. Assistant Professor Grade-I: 7th CPC Pay Level 12, Minimum Basic Pay: ₹ 1,01,500/-. Approximate total emoluments including HRA: ₹ 2,29,400/-. Approximate total emoluments excluding HRA: ₹ 1,99,000/-.
