Junior Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow

Indian Institute of Technology Patna is recruiting for 2 positions of Junior Research Fellow and/or Senior Research Fellow. Candidates should hold an M.Sc. in Physics/Mathematics or a B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MS with specified minimum GPAs. The last date to apply is 10-07-2026.
Maximum Age Limit: 32 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/women/PD candidates will be as per Government of India rules.
Eligibility Criteria
M.Sc. in Physics/Mathematics with a minimum CPI of 6.5 out of 10 or 60% marks. B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MS with a minimum CPI of 8 out of 10 or 75% marks. A valid GATE score (obtained in the last 5 years) or CSIR/UGC NET qualification is preferred. The GATE/CSIR-UGC NET requirement is waived for candidates from Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) who have a CGPA of 8.5 out of 10 or 80% marks.

Salary / Stipend
Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA. Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA.
