As on last date of application, the age limit for different categories is as follows: General Merit - Maximum Age Limit: 40 years; Category-II(A) / II(B) / III(A) / III(B) (OBC) - Maximum Age Limit: 43 years; Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Category-I (OBC) - Maximum Age Limit: 45 years. The minimum age for all categories is 18 years. A one-time age relaxation of 5 years is applicable.

Candidates must have passed a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Arts, Commerce, Business Management, or Computer Applications from a recognized university. General and Other Backward Category candidates need a minimum of 55% aggregate marks, while Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates need a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
