Why closed notifications are kept

A recruitment does not stop being useful when its last date passes. The notification still records how many posts a body advertised, the qualifications and age limits it accepted, and the selection process it ran — which is the best available guide to what the same body will ask for next time. Most of these recruitments repeat on a yearly cycle.

Every page here states clearly that applications have closed, and links back to the openings that are still accepting forms, so nobody mistakes an old notification for a live one.
