description
The Advocate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University in India. The Advocate should be enrolled/registered as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council. The Advocate should have an office at the place where empanelment is sought, with adequate infrastructure (accessible office, chambers, library, manpower, etc.) and excellent communication skills. Fee Schedule
description
No application fee is mentioned for submitting the empanelment application. The professional fee payable to empanelled Advocates for handling ESIC's cases is as prescribed by ESIC; the exact fee amounts are not specified in this notification. Applicants must agree to this fee schedule as part of their undertaking. No retainer fee is paid to any Panel Advocate merely for being empanelled.
Tenure of Panel
description
The panel is ordinarily constituted for a period of 3 years (2026–2029). If a panel is reconstituted before the existing one expires, the existing panel continues until the new panel is constituted.
Selection Process
description
Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format only. ESIC reserves the right to shortlist applications and may call shortlisted Advocates for further interaction before empanelment. The Selection Committee consists of the Regional Director and two external legal members.
Documents Required
- Copy of Law Degree and other qualifications
- Copy of Registration Certificate issued by the Bar Council
- Copy of Identity Card issued by the Bar Association
- Copy of ID Proof
- Copies of Empanelment Letter(s) issued by other Authorities/entities in favour of the Advocate, if any
- Resume with a brief profile of experience, background, education, list of clients, and nature of cases dealt with
- Two recent colour passport-size photographs
- Copy of Income Tax Returns for the last two financial years
- Copy of Aadhaar Card
- Copy of PAN Card
- Undertaking and declaration regarding conflict of interest

Download/obtain the prescribed application form from the ESIC website, fill in the details, attach self-attested copies of all required documents, and send the application to the Regional Director, ESIC RO-Maharashtra, ensuring it reaches by the last date.

Empanelment does not bind ESIC to award work. Advocates must handle cases themselves and must not delegate them, acting only on ESIC's instructions and maintaining strict confidentiality.
